📝 Full Itinerary
Day 1 – Bucharest → Drobeta Turnu Severin
Meet your guide in Bucharest and transfer westward toward the Danube frontier. Arrival and check-in at Sunshine Pension 4*. Welcome dinner at the guesthouse.
Day 2 – Iron Gates Gorge & Danube Boat Tour
In the morning, optionally, guided hike to Ciucarul Mare for panoramic view over the Danube Gorges. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip through the gorge, where the Danube carves its way between the Carpathians and the Balkans. Marvel at the Decebalus rock sculpture, Europe’s tallest carved rock face, and the panoramic cliffs.

Day 3 – Culture & History: Iron Gates Region
Visit to the Iron Gates Dam Museum and panoramic viewpoint
Guided tour to Severin Fortress
Photo stop at the Water Castle
Visit to the Iron Gates Regional Museum - history, nature & archaeology
Farewell dinner

Day 4 – Departure. Return via Craiova → Bucharest
After breakfast, depart northward, stopping in Craiova to explore its historic center and lively boulevards. Continue the journey to Bucharest, where you’ll spend the evening at leisure. Overnight in Bucharest.
Day 5
Breakfast. Enjoy a relaxed morning before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
